DR STEPHEN DENNY

Partner / Principal Dentist (GDC 64697) BDS University of Sheffield 1989/LDS Royal College of Surgeons of England 1990

Stephen qualified in Sheffield in 1989 and has worked in Essex since 1991. He worked in Australia in various Government dental clinics and returned to Essex in 1996, opening his first practice in Benfleet in 2000. a second practice was opened in 2009.

He has special interests in orthodontics, teaching, mentoring and all aspects of family dentistry.

He became an Educational Supervisor in 2007 for the East of England Deanery and an Honorary Tutor for London & Barts Dental Hospital in 2008. He teaches and lectures to dental students, foundation dentists, hygiene students and therapists. He became a Clinical Educator for the BSc Oral Hygiene at Essex University in 2008. He completed his teaching qualification in dental and medical education in 2009. Stephen has cared for many families for over 30 years.

He has worked at Basildon, Oldchurch and Queen’s Hospitals as a clinical assistant in orthodontics. He offers NHS and private orthodontics and takes referrals from local practices for orthodontics.

DR PAULA DENNY

Associate (GDC 59852) BDS Lond 1984

Paula joined the team in 2001 and has worked in Essex since 1985. She has been providing general dental care to her patients and their families for over 35 years. 

She completed her teaching qualification in dental and medical education. As a long standing member of our team Paula is happy acting as a mentor to our Foundation dentists.

DR SHAMEEM NABI

General Dental Practitioner

Shameem graduated from University College London in 1991.

She has worked in both NHS and Private dental practices across London and Essex, as well as Hospital posts.

She has gained a Diploma in Conscious sedation for Dentistry.

In 2003, she took up a post at Barts and London School of Medicine and Dentistry as a clinical demonstrator, teaching final year students all aspects of general dentistry, in preparation for their careers as dentists.

She offers a wide range of dental services, including cosmetic dentistry, She also offers facial aesthetics, such as dermal fillers and “Botox” and tooth whitening. She takes pride in her ability to maintain a calm and gentle manner, putting the most nervous of patients at ease, but aiming to deliver the highest level of care.

DR TARA BARRY

Associate (GDC 114630) BDS Lond 2007

Tara qualified from Kings College London in 2007. During her studies she gained academic and clinical excellence achieving the Maurice Wohl General Dental Practice prize. Since qualifying Tara has held posts in Hospital, Community and General Dental practice in and around Essex and Suffolk.

Tara constantly likes to update her skill; she became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2009, gained a teaching qualification in Medical and Dental Educations in 2010 and has completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation from Guys Dental Hospital. She has undertaken over 3000 sedation cases. She is an accredited sedation mentor with the Dental Sedation Teachers Group.

Tara is currently undertaking a postgraduate certificate in Dental Implantology. Alongside her clinical dentistry she is an educational supervisor with NHS Health Education England and is involved in teaching newly qualified dentists.

Tara has a special interest in treating nervous patients; her calm chair side manner help put her patients at ease. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry especially oral surgery and sedation.

DR LINDSEY BROWN

Associate (GDC 194116) BDS Lond 2010

BSc (Hons), PhD, BDS (Hons)
Lindsey did her training year in 2010 at our practices and stayed on as part of the team as an associate Dentist.

She did her first degree in Human Biology and then a PhD in bone tissue engineering at Barts and the London.  She continued on to do scientific research in a postdoctoral role studying oral cancer pathways before going on to study Dentistry at Barts and the London Dental School. She qualified in 2010.

Lindsey became an Honoury Clinical Dental Tutor for the Barts and the London in 2011 where she teaches and lectures dental students at the outreach clinics.

Lindsey enjoys all aspects of family dentistry and has a special interest in sedation for anxious patients. She offers both NHS and private treatments to patients and has attended many postgraduate courses since qualifying.

DR GARETH WILLIAMS

Specialist Orthodontist (GDC 85271)
BDS University of Wales 2005

Gareth is our multi award winning orthodontist.

He completed his first degree in dentistry in 2005 at the University of Wales, Cardiff, where he won the Magdalen Morgan Scholarship, the JWS Laboratory Award and the Dental Defence Union Audit award. He then joined Liverpool University in 2009 where he completed his specialist degree in Orthodontics, winning the Liverpool Orthodontic Shield for the presentation of best treated patients in the Mersey Deanery, a Membership in Orthodontics case prize for the work presented at examination and the Geoffrey Fletcher Scholarship to undertake further research in America. His research in America is on-going with the aim of improving care for younger patients and those needing combined orthodontic-surgical treatment.

Gareth’s research helps predict natural growth patterns in younger patients so treatment can be optimally timed to achieve the very best results.

DR LUKE FISHER-BROWN

Associate (GDC 259910) BDS Queen Mary University of London 2015

Shortly after finishing university, Luke joined the Benfleet dental Studio/Clinic in 2015 performing a wide range of dental treatment.

​

He has continued to develop his skills through a range of courses including a year-long advanced aesthetics course with Dr Chris Ores, as well as various implant, restorative, composite bonding, aesthetic dentistry, tooth whitening, Invisalign and oral surgery courses, as well as mentoring programmes.

​

Luke is currently studying for an Msc in Dental implantology at the University of Bristol.

Luke offers a range of more advanced treatments including cosmetic smile design, dental implants and more advanced surgical procedures.

Luke's calm nature enables him to deliver both simple and more complex dental treatment in a competent, professional and relaxed manor, allowing patients to feel at ease under his care.

DR BEN MARION

Associate (GDC number 259496) BDS Lond 2015

Ben joined us in 2016 and is an enthusiastic member of the team. He will happily take the time to discuss any dental issues you may have, and particularly enjoys helping more nervous patients feel at ease.  Graduating from Barts and The London Dental School, Ben has a special interest in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Dental Pathology, and holds a Bsc (Hons) in Forensic Biology.

Ben is one of our Educational Supervisors to our Foundation Dentists.

​

Outside of dentistry, Ben is a keen Saxophonist, and has performed all over the United Kingdom and Europe, including a spell aboard the Queen Elizabeth II ocean liner.

DR DANIEL CALDWELL

Associate (GDC 243806) BDS UClan (Lpool) 2013

Daniel joined us in 2013 for his vocational training  year and stayed on as a full time associate since, having qualified from the University of Liverpool with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery and in addition a BSc in Physiology. Whilst at university Daniel won the finals prize for ‘highest achievement in restorative dentistry’.

Daniel enjoys the daily interaction of working with the general public and aims to build up a long term rapport with his patients and their families. He enjoys carrying out all aspects of preventative and restorative dentistry, including tooth whitening and Invisalign.

He is very good at putting his patients at ease prior to treatment. Daniel runs our domiciliary programme and sees those patients unable to attend the surgery.

Daniel is one of our Educational Supervisors to our Foundation Dentists.

DR SAMUEL ANTHONY

Associate (GDC 259391) BDS Lond 2015

Sam joined our team here at Benfleet in 2019 after returning from Australia where he worked at The Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne for 2 years. 

After graduating from Barts and The Lond in 2015 Sam has had a keen interest in oral surgery following working at the York Hospital's Maxillofacial department for 2 years. Sam is furthering his oral surgery study by currently completing a Msc in Dental Implantology at the University of Bristol. 

Sam's relaxed and friendly demeanour enables him to complete the full range of general and complex dental procedures in a calm and friendly environment.
